Atelier Penlan

STUDIO FACILITIES

Atelier Penlan is an artists’ space with 2 functioning studios of 20 sq/m, a short distance from the town of St Pol-de-Léon in north Finistère. The studios are available to hire for periods of a week to a month, for individual artists or for two / three artists working on a collaborative project. Most suitable for artists working in painting, drawing and paper-based techniques, each studio is a well lit and heated space with white walls,  equipped with a sink, bench, easel and storage for art materials. A small printing press is available at Atelier Penlan, however for processing larger prints, there are several local professional studios who can be contacted for use of a larger press (+ costs). Whilst there is no kiln at the studios, Caroline can put you in touch with local ceramic studios for firing pieces during your stay (+ firing costs).

ACCOMODATION

Accomodation is available on site, in a separate building with three double rooms and shared facilities for self-catering. There are other gites for rent nearby for artists preferring more independant accommodation or wishing to travel with a partner and/or family. Because of the location travelling to Atelier Penlan by car is preferable.
